My Psychotherapy Model

The approach that  I use combines cognitive and experiential approaches and is consistent with Schema Therapy.  My work with you is individualized and collaborative. After the first few sessions, I frequently see people every two weeks for a period and then the frequency of sessions depends upon the individual.

About me.

My training includes a Master's degree in Developmental Psychology, a nursing degree and training in Experiential Psychotherapy at a variety of centers around the US and Canada. I am an International Society Schema Therapy Certified Schema Therapist. I have practiced psychotherapy for over 25 years with more than twenty of those in collaboration with Joan Farrell, Ph.D.

My group psychotherapy experience includes work with depression and anxiety and borderline personality disorder. With Dr. Farrell I developed the BASE group program for people with BPD, which we formerly offered at Larue Carter and is currently available at Midtown Westside Clinic in outpatient treatment. We have worked together as cotherapists and collaborated on developing group treatments for 25 years.
