SUPERVISION IN GROUP SCHEMA THERAPY

Joan chairs (and Ida is a member of) a work group commisioned by the ISST Board of Directors to make reccomendations for ISST certification of Group Schema Therapy.

STIM is able to provide certification for Group Schema Therapy in the Borderline Personality Disorder model that we developed and empirically validated.

We are working to expand this model to CLuster C and other disorders and consulting on research to test new models.

INTERNATIONAL SCHEMA THERAPY TRAINING PROGRAM

The Schema Therapy Institute Midwest provides an International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST) certified training program that leads to certification as a Schema Therapist at the advanced level. The ISST certification is the only certification in schema therapy endorsed by its developer Dr. Jeffrey Young.

The Indianapolis Center provides training in individual ST for certification and specialized training in treatingpatients with Borderline Personality and the Group Schema Therapy model developed by Farrell & Shaw.

The 1st Indianapolis Training is a 3 day  workshop June 8-10 at the Ritz Charles.

25 hours of didactic training and 15 hours of dyadic or group practice are required followed by 40 hours of supervision. Supervision in individual schema therapy is provided by George Lockwood, PhD, Joan Farrell, PhD or Ida Shaw, MA - in person, by phone or Skype teleconference.

The requirements for certification in Group Schema Therapy are in the process of being determined by the ISST.
